Spotlight on "Charmed Design" plus a great coupon!

Bringing you today the beautiful and unique jewelry of Charmed Design.

In the artist's words...

I am a 42 Atlanta, GA native that is now living in New Haven, CT. I have lived here a little over two years now. While living in Atlanta, I had an unfulfilling, career as a lawyer. So, when I moved to New Haven, I decided to leave that behind and make a brand new beginning in a career that would make me happy. When I first arrived, I got a job at a wellness center as their marketing manager. My new job included graphic design and writing and this really appealed to my creative side that had been stifled for so long.

About a year ago, I became ill from an infection that was a side effect of a routine tooth extraction. I came very close to dying, had several life saving surgeries, and am blessed to be here today. My first bracelets came into being as something constructive and positive to do while recovering from this sudden and life threatening illness.

Although I lost my job, home, and life as I knew it, surviving such a near death experience has made me feel and believe that I am indeed - CHARMED.

I create modern charm jewelry, necklaces and wrap bracelets in silk, leather, and satin.  My jewelry reflects my experience and love for life. I am inspired by signs and symbols that are all around us and that, if we let them, can uplift and guide us. My jewelry is all about feeling good.

  4. God bless you! I'm nearby in LI New York. We're practically neighbors! You are extremely talented. I adore your creations!

You really had me there at the tooth extraction story. I'm still squimish about my experience last year. I got 3 teeth extracted and 1 they pulled was right, only because it hurt so badly I pointed it out. He wasn't going to pull it at all. The other two he pulled were wrong. I need another extraction and I don't want it, and several implants now, that are 4k a piece. (Good luck there..ugh!)

Amazing the complications that can come from something that seems so routine. You are here for a reason. Me to. I was hit by a truck on foot, that was going nearly 70 MPH, had a nearly 108 fever and Reye's syndrome when I was 6. My parents were prepared for my death, I had 3 car accidents I walked away from, I was on a Ferry that lost power in a storm and I nearly fell out the shutter doors. I was rescued in the nick of time, I had a should have been fatal horse accident, that if I had on tape could sell for a lot of loot.

I had several falls before giving it up but one was absolutely miraculous to survive. Taught me how important it was to live for my kids, and give up any silly hobbies that might take me away from them, or cripple me for life.

There are reasons for everything. God kept us around to do some good in this world. Keep on using your enormous talents for good!

    xoxo Shelly
